Sirius Black had a world famous smile that was rivaled only by James Potter. His smile, when he put it on, could say so many things. When it was natural, it was a thing of charm and calm. When it was forced, it tended to tell you he was about to hex someone. Sirius' Smiles could be recorded in a book and given to every fawning girl in school as a lesion plan for a year.

Thankfully they didn't do that. So his smiles were saved. He was smiling now, pleased as punch that she showed up at all. Shoving his hands into his rob pockets he trotted up next to her and towards the door.

"Yes, ma'am. One nice, quick, easy trip to the kitchen for tea and cookies and nothing else. In and out. On my honor." Which meant he was going to dawdle as long as possible.

When Sirius couldn't sleep, he did things. Tonight it was Lily and the Kitchens for Tea and Cookies and maybe other snacks. And talk. Couldn't help to wind her up a bit. He doubted he could win a lip chapping snog. As much as he'd kill for that.

He didn't have the map on him. He didn't NEED the map anymore. He knew every corner of this place and seemed to be good at avoiding people with out it. He didn't need James's cloak either. For some reason, he wanted to be impressive to Lily, so taking the led was easy.

He knew if he really wanted to impress he could shift forms, but one, he was sure she would not be impressed by THAT, and another he learned it against the laws of the wizarding world, for Remus, not for impressing young ladies. it would be so easy though.

When she squinted at him, he cracked a smile back, starting to dart off the way they needed to go, paused, lunged back in and took her hand, leaning in to say "Stay close." And pulled her, a joyous feeling radiating off him, like a dog. Like a Padfoot.

He moved them through the halls with ease, making her paused only twice, and hide just once in a cubby behind a statue when he thought a teacher was coming. It was from there that he took her to the Kitchen Entrance.

He leaned in close to whisper. "Know how to get in?" And nudged her. "Tickle the pear."
