As they reached the top of the stairs and the first cool brush of night air hit her Lily finished plaiting her hair in a thick braid before she fished the mask she had been wearing when they met by the canal out of her pocket. Frowning a touch at its rumpled state she gave it a shake before pulling it on over her eyes.
Laughing at his remark Lily gave her dress one more smoothing over before she stepped closer to him and took his arm. "I think we wouldn't be the first two people to walk down these streets after falling into a bit of, er," she tilted her head to the side.
